What is LittleSteps?
LittleSteps is a friendly, easy-to-understand app for managing care units. It helps organize children into groups, plan care times, and keep daily operations clear and simple — all in one place and on every device.
Who is this for?
This documentation is intended for:
- Parents / Legal Guardians
- Employees at the care unit (including managers and board members)
Employees, managers, and board members mainly differ by permissions. The overall functions are largely the same, with only a few views restricted by role.
What can LittleSteps do?
LittleSteps supports care units with:
- Child management: Children are managed within a care unit and organized in groups (e.g., “Green Group”).
- Opening hours & booking times: Each group has opening hours. Parents book care times for their children (e.g., 8:00–16:00).
- Overview & planning: The care unit always sees how many children are planned in each group and when they will attend.
- Attendance: Absences such as holidays or sickness can be recorded.
- Chat: Direct communication between parents and care unit staff.
- Journals: Daily documentation (e.g., sleep, meals). Categories are managed per child group.
- Tasks: Create and assign tasks (e.g., “Bring milk & cookies for the next party”).
- Documents: Store and share important documents.
